Films and series have great power to move, motivate and mobilize people. Investing in an audiovisual project is also a business strategy — to spread your purpose, support a cause, gain visibility or add value to your brand. Below are the projects we are developing right now.

Impact Campaign: O Vento Vai Reagir
Varĩ Mëma (45), an Indigenous woman and anthropologist, lives in conflict. Her relatives no longer recognize her as Marubo. In academia, she is seen as an “outsider”. Delvair (81), an anthropologist and documentary maker, took part in a ritual with Varĩ shortly after her birth. The Marubo people believe this connection led Varĩ to become an anthropologist. Forty years later, they meet again and travel together to the village where they first saw each other, in search of an Amazon that no longer exists.

Sabores de Origem
International chefs? Food trucks? Everyday Brazilian landscapes? Nothing of the sort. The series SABORES DE ORIGEM shows the culinary experience of Brazil’s traditional Indigenous and quilombola peoples and their relationship with their environment and history. A journey through a little-known Brazil, through the meeting of ancestral knowledge and flavors.

Censura em Tempos de Liberdade
What are the limits of artistic expression? Is it necessary to limit art in any context? The series CENSURA EM TEMPOS DE LIBERDADE will investigate censorship of the arts in Brazil outside authoritarian regimes, analyzing the motivations and the historical, cultural and moral contexts that led to prohibitions. We will look at theatrical, literary, visual, cinematic and musical works, their relationship with their times and the shifting censorship standards of Brazilian society.

Café Brasil
Coffee is the symbol of Brazilian hospitality and is on the table of almost every family. Its aroma invites a trip back in time. Through a cup of coffee we exchange experiences and stories of affection. The series invites us on a journey through these stories and landscapes, told by their own protagonists, from small producers to historic families. Their way of life, their way of seeing the world and their memories are the ingredients of this journey.

La Garantía Soy Yo
In a VHS player commercial in 1990s Brazil, an Asian man with a Spanish accent sells his product. “La garantía soy yo,” he says. The catchphrase becomes synonymous with piracy and with Paraguayans. I return to Paraguay, my father’s country, with my son, with the idea of deconstructing this stigma and passing on to him a Paraguayan identity that perhaps I do not have. I bring information and reflections, but I deal with doubts, affections and contradictions of an imaginary country. Paraguay is not a joke, nor is it the opposite.

É Só Amor
Moura and Sebastiana lived side by side for years, he as a priest, she as a parishioner. They could not resist their passion and discovered their sexualities and love. They were accepted by some, rejected by others, but despite the controversy, they married in a clandestine ceremony celebrated by a married priest. He was expelled from the Church, while she remains a practicing Catholic. Together, they take part in an association of married priests, where they celebrate their devotion to Christ and to freedom. But after all, can a priest marry?

Riocentro, o Atentado Frustrado
The premature explosion of the bomb that would have caused the biggest terrorist attack of the military dictatorship brings to light the darkest side of the military opposed to democratic opening. Despite abundant evidence of the crime, no one was ever punished.

The CINEMA PARA MUDAR showcase aims to screen transformative films that invite engagement in relevant causes, generate mobilization and social impact, and seek to contribute to a fairer, more equal society. In the challenging times we live in, screening and discussing special stories of change, transformation and engagement, told in unique ways, is also a way to have a positive impact and contribute to times of more affection, respect and inclusion.

A poet’s journey through the vanishing cerrado, in search of the lost landscape of his childhood. An ironic and poetic manifesto against greed, about memory and the resistance of the Brazilian Cerrado, the most biodiverse savanna in the world. Are we doomed to lose the Cerrado, or is there still room for hope?
