A genuinely Brasília-born production company
In every corner, we see the extraordinary in people and in stories tied to art, culture, identity and causes. We are a genuinely Brasília-born production company, in love with the quirks of a naturally cinematic city.
In the Federal District and surrounding region, we bring together technical, logistical and artistic excellence, a diversity of locations, privileged light, predictable weather and the cerrado — with its blue sky that inspires us.
For more than 20 years we have been telling stories, and our productions have received important awards and screened at more than 60 national and international festivals, as well as on TV channels and streaming platforms.
Our most recent feature, O VENTO VAI REAGIR (2026), was funded by the FAC 2021 call (Federal District Department of Culture). Shot in the Javari Valley and Manaus (Amazon), Rio de Janeiro and Brasília, it will have its commercial release in 2027.
Before it, Maria Luiza, commercially released in 2020, premiered at É Tudo Verdade 2019, Latin America’s leading documentary festival, and toured festivals in France, the Netherlands, Mexico, Argentina, the USA, Switzerland, Colombia, Peru, Austria, Serbia and Brazil. Among other honors, it received Best International Documentary at the Humano Human Rights Film Festival (Mexico), Best Documentary at the Merlinka Queer FF (Serbia) and an Honorable Mention at LIFFY (Yale/USA).
This experience allows us to offer impact distribution services, consulting and production facilities, as well as Branded Content for brands that want to share their values, stories and motivations with society.
We are members of API — Association of Independent Brazilian Audiovisual Producers — and CONNE — Audiovisual Connection Center-West, North, Northeast.
Direction
Marcelo Díaz
Director · Screenwriter · Producer
Award-winning director, screenwriter and producer from Brasília, of Piauí and Paraguayan descent. His productions have screened at more than 60 festivals around the world, in cinemas, on TV channels and on more than 15 streaming platforms. He believes in the power of cinema as a means of transformation.
A graduate in Social Communication from the University of Brasília (UnB), he is the founder of the production company DIAZUL DE CINEMA. He has made films such as: Terra de Luz (2016); Restrutural (2014); Galeno, Curumim Arteiro (DOCTV, 2009), Desdobráveis (2013), Oficina Perdiz (2006), Aquilo que Não Podem Demolir Enquanto Eu Puder Falar (2020) and his first feature film, Maria Luiza (2019).
As a screenwriter, he worked on the development of the series Censura em Tempos de Liberdade (in progress), Da Minha Cozinha Cuido Eu (in progress), Brasílias Imaginadas (2020-2021, with Cinema Cinema Prod.); Mostra A Sua Cara (2015-2016, Plateau Filmes); Como Nascem os Heróis (2015, Pá Virada Filmes).
He was also producer, researcher and interviewer for the episodes shot in Brazil of the documentary series The World in Seven Days for VPRO TV/Netherlands (2014) and producer for the podcast Mothers of Invention (ep. 1, season 3 / DOC SOCIETY / England, 2020).
He is co-director of the feature O Vento Vai Reagir and the series Como Nascem os Heróis (TV Brasil, 2025).
Member of GIPA (Global Impact Producers Alliance) and IDA (International Documentary Association).

Delvair Montagner
Director, Researcher and Anthropologist
Historian with a postdoctorate in Visual Anthropology. She worked as an anthropologist at FUNAI and was a researcher at the Palmares Foundation. She has made 40 documentaries as a researcher, director and screenwriter. Co-director of the feature O VENTO VAI REAGIR and of the documentary Terra de Luz, available on the platform Guide Doc.
Brisa Praiano
Production Assistant
Audiovisual student at the University of Brasília, working in production. She has worked in different areas of culture, such as events, exhibitions, graphic design, fiction, documentary and advertising. In university cinema, she has taken part in the production of more than 10 short films. She was a production assistant on the documentary series Como Nascem os Heróis and on the feature documentary O Vento Vai Reagir.

André Carvalheira

He studied at the University of Brasília and at the Escola Superior de Estudos Livres Cinematográficos in Paris. He began his audiovisual career in 1996 as a camera assistant and today works as a director of photography. He was responsible for the cinematography of more than 40 short films and 18 feature films, as well as documentaries and TV programs, advertising, institutional films, music videos, concerts and more. He is also a screenwriter, director and teacher.
Sergio Azevedo
Editor
Editor on fiction, documentary, video art and advertising projects since 2002. Editor of the feature documentaries “Rock Brasília – Era de Ouro” by Vladimir Carvalho; “Plano B” by Getsemane Silva, “O Vento Vai Reagir” by Delvair Montagner and Marcelo Díaz, “Maria Luiza” by Marcelo Díaz, and of the fiction features “Nada” by Adriano Guimarães and “Manual Para Mudar o País” by Getsemane Silva. He is also a musician.
Sandra Grossi
Born in Posadas, Misiones (Argentina, 1985). She trained as a photographer at AFPRA in Buenos Aires and in cinematography at ENERC/INCAA in 2008. She also studied film at UBA. She works in film and television, in fiction and documentary, as a photographer, director of photography, camera operator and lighting technician. She has worked on films such as Alanis, by Anahí Berneri; Hijas del Fuego, by Albertina Carri; El Silencio de los Otros, by Almudena Carracedo. She owns the equipment rental company HAY EQUIPO (Argentina).
